| Over the last 10 years we have completed numerous projects at the Caterpillar plant at Peterlee. The facility’s manufacturing activities utilise the latest computer analysis techniques, robotic technology and a ‘state of the art’ paint plant. Completed projects include external lighting works, supply and installation of robot supplies, installation of cable tray and various refurbishment works in both the offices and productions areas. | Entek began the research and development of Polyethylene Battery (PE) Separator production in 1984 at a new greenfield site in Killingworth, Newcastle upon Tyne. Nala Engineers Ltd carried out the original installation, mains distribution, lighting, small power, fire alarms and installation of the original 4no production lines. A further 4no lines were added over the next 10 years. Between June 2008 and January 2009 2no lines were repositioned and 2no high production lines were added in an extension to the existing building. We carried out all works to the extension ie. lighting, power, fire alarm installations, plus power and control wiring to the new lines and ancillary plant as well as the H.V and M.V switchboards and cabling. | Cumbrian Seafoods Ltd have recently expanded their operation to Seaham, Co Durham. During 2007, Nala Engineers were involved in the factory fit out of their new premises. Works included the installation of all electrical building services including load centres, main panels, lighting control panels and mechanical wiring. We also installed all wiring for the production and packaging lines and carried out the HV upgrade. Nala Engineers have carried out many extensions and new store electrical fit outs in the Northern region over the last 3 years. Much of the refurbishment work is carried out whilst the store is trading which requires out of hours working.
